The Generations That Deviate by Dok-aLeXa The Generations That Deviate by Dok-aLeXa
"As time passed, the seventh sons of Fenrir had lost sight of that which the One had once taught.

"Decadence, Materialism, Hedonism.. they all began to return..
"
-- Nonsensical quote randomly plucked from my head.. unrefined, regarding the very loose story/subject surrounding these illustrations.

One of my few traditional works now, done with pencil for the sketch, water-soluble coloured pencil, and pen.

As you can see, this descendant of Fenrir has lost some of his wolf-features and gained more of a malamute's marking. Not only does his mind deviate, but his blood has lost its potency.

I don't usually like wolf pics or pics with subjects of wolf like influence (probabaly because there is an exceedingly large number on dA) but I do like this! Very well done;)

Oh, god. Yeh, I'm quite tired of seeing the excessive wolf doodles on deviantART as well.:bleh:

They all seem very contrived and don't really come from a place of appreciation for the majestic animal. It makes it so... impersonal and it's no longer a true "spiritual" expression. Not to say this character design of mine is, but if only others that want to draw wolves and such would try to be more original... -.-

ANYWAY! Thank you very, very much. I appreciate it.:D

Wow, nice Hrodvitnisson! Very nice, indeed. ^^
That expression is terrifying, though. Is he gonna eat us? :O

Loving the steampunkery in the goggles. Have you ever drawn him with them down? He'd look even more badass! ^^
Very nice fur and eye details. I like the way the colours in his eyes change as you look closer to the pupil. Nice use of foreshortening on the fingers, too.

What medium is this, by the way? Coloured pencil, right? You have surely mastered it. :worship:
